Pattern of Worship

Sunday Mornings:

Morning Service at 11:00.  Services are of a straightforward, informal format with songs, readings, prayer and preaching of the gospel.  We very rarely make use of any sort of formal liturgy since we feel that this can stifle the movement of the Holy Spirit.  We use a mix of modern, worship songs and traditional hymns.  Exploration of the Word is at the core of all that we do so that everyone may grow in faith and in their knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Everyone is invited to join in the worship through prayer or by sharing witness.  Services are led by our Minister or be other, invited, visiting preachers.  We have a period of shared fellowship after every service.  The current schedule is shown on the notice board outside the chapel.

Families are welcome to all our services and we have experienced Sunday School teachers to work with children and youngsters of all ages.  We aim to integrate children fully into our fellowship as well as providing dedicated time and resources to meet their own particular needs.

3rd Friday of the month:

Prayer and Praise service at 7:00 in the evening with Fellowship Supper to follow.  This evening service is an opportunity for all to share worship in an informal gathering and then to join in a hot fellowship supper afterwards.  We focus on giving praise and offering prayer led by an experienced evangelical worship leader and with strong music leadership.  Trained pastoral leaders are available for individual ministry either during or after the service.

Weekday Activities

Every Tuesday 7:30 pm:

House group at a house of one of our fellowship.  We take it in turns to lead on studying a particular subject area from the bible.  Everyone is encouraged to contribute in an entirely confidential and inclusive atmosphere.  Subjects that we have studied recently have included:  "Poverty from a Christian Perspective" and "The Second Coming".

Every Thursday 10:30 am:

We hold a weekly prayer meeting on Thursday mornings.  We pray for the village, the church worldwide, the sick and all topics that require our intercessions to God.  This is a time of open prayer and we all contribute to the prayers.  But should you feel uncomfortable in offering spoken prayer then you are really welcome to join in by praying silently in your heart.

As Publicised:

Usually twice a year we run a Bible School at the chapel.  This normally takes place at 10:00 am on Wednesday mornings.  Typically a course will run for 6 weeks and be led by Reverend Andrew Baguley or Reverend Roger French.  All such courses will be advertised in "The Hambledonian" and on our Facebook Page.
